Life Cycle Support

PLL Logistics understands the impact of technical decisions made during design and development on the usability and life-cycle support of the system.  Accounting for life-cycle logistics considerations is part of the systems engineering process.  Systems engineering support to acquisition programs has not strongly focused on ILS.  However, life-cycle costs are increasingly driven by engineering considerations during the early stages of acquisition.  As a consequence, there is an important cause-and-effect relationship between systems engineering and ILS that systems engineers need to be aware of and account for in their activities.

As part of the life cycle logistics process, PLL Logistics’ capability to produce and maintain reliability block diagrams (RBD) of equipment and systems ensures the system design attributes includes the ILS impacts on the total Life Cycle Costs (LCC) for affordability, efficiency and effectiveness.  PLL Logistics understands systems engineering toward developing the required Life-Cycle Building Blocks and best practices for managing LCC.

In summary, PLL Logistics has the capability to deliver the Life Cycle Logistics support strategies for the planning, development, implementation, and management of an effective and affordable weapons system, materiel, or information system.  PLL Logistics can perform logistics during the acquisition and operational phases of the system life cycle to: (1) ensure product support strategies meet the program goals for operational effectiveness and readiness; (2) ensure supportability requirements are addressed consistently with cost, schedule, and performance; (3) perform an integral role in systems engineering to ensure supportability considerations are implemented during systems design; and (4) plan and develop performance-based logistics initiatives as the preferred approach toward product support.

Our goal is to provide the best integrated logistical support services.
